“Maestro” star Bradley Cooper has been seen locking lips with Matt Bomer on the set of the upcoming Netflix biographical drama.

The actors’ passionate moment was captured June 6 in New York City during the filming of the new movie.

The streaming platform released behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film in late May. Cooper is both directing and starring in “Maestro” as a younger Leonard Bernstein, a renowned American conductor.

Bomer’s role is still unclear, but the film will also star Carey Mulligan, who plays Bernstein’s wife Felicia Montealegre, Jeremy Strong, Maya Hawke and Sarah Silverman.

Cooper who, at the time, was coming off his Oscar-winning film “A Star Is Born,” was initially recruited by Steven Spielberg to star in the Bernstein drama, which he was going to direct. The star told Spielberg how he’d always thought he could play a conductor, but wanted to try his hand at writing and directing the story.

“Steven has a lot of interests — he’ll just choose one thing and all of the other things will be on hold,” Cooper said. “I think he knew he wasn’t going to make that movie for a while. He was kind enough to hand it off to me, and that’s what I’ve been doing for the last four and a half years.”

Cooper said he’s much more interested in writing and directing movies than acting in them. With “Maestro,” he’ll be doing all three.

While working on “A Star Is Born,” he told Spielberg “Listen, all I want to do is write and direct movies. I always felt like I could play a conductor, but may I research the material and see if I can write it and direct it? Would you let me do that?”

With Spielberg’s approval and Cooper’s passion, “Maestro” is set to premiere in 2023 on Netflix.
