The second installment of FX’s “American Horror Stories” premieres July 21, complete with haunted dolls, serial killers and vicious ghosts.

The horror anthology created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is a spinoff to their critically-acclaimed series “American Horror Story.” The original series featured a new theme and reimagined characters every season, whereas this series jumps to a new story each episode. This reimagined way of storytelling provides new and exciting genres every hour.

This upcoming season has largely been kept under wraps up until this week. Thanks to a new trailer released July 13, fans can expect some familiar faces from previous seasons. Denis O’Hare is a doll collector, trapping a young woman and telling her “There’s only one way out of here young lady, and it’s not through any windows or doors.”

Other returning cast members from the first “American Horror Stories” season or “American Horror Story” include Cody Fern, Max Greenfield, Nico Greetham and Gabourey Sidibe. There are also plenty of newcomers to the cast, including Dominique Jackson, Judith Light, Alicia Silverstone and Bella Thorne.

The trailer features a plethora of creepy characters. A ghost in a bathtub, a mortician that believes people are “most interesting before death,” bloody and bandaged humanoid creatures, and what seems like an ancient witch.

Murphy and Falchuk have developed a massive fanbase since their start in the horror genre in 2011. Both creators, as well as FX, anticipate high ratings with this new season.

“Since 2011, the creators of the AHS have redefined the horror genre with various installments featuring a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel and the apocalypse itself,” FX said in a statement. “The television series sprouted a legion of dedicated fans who anticipate what terrors the next chapter will hold.”

The new installment of “American Horror Stories” debuts July 21, exclusively on Hulu. Watch the trailer below.
