The circuit is back at the huge Buena Vista Palace Hotel. On Friday afternoon, there was a steady stream at check in and at the ticket purchase booth. The hotel didn’t feel as crowded as during peak a few years back, but there are clearly more out-of-towners here for the Wonderland lineup of events than last year. And they’re clearly happy to reclaim BVP. Both adjoining pool areas grew more crowded throughout the afternoon, and the circuit energy was there: great music and great looking men ready for a party weekend. It comes at a cost: at the snack bar, we watched one lean and buff guy from Chicago agonize between the veggie platter and a turkey wrap. Lots of guys peaked in at setup for the Tunnel after hours party, right at BVP this year. It’s dazzling–no surprise from Mark Baker. Expect the Wonderland pool parties to get crowded during the weekend, when locals join in.
