The response to the Tampa Bay premier of Outrage in July was so overwhelming that WMNF Community Radio has decided to present two more screenings of the documentary.
The film, created by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Kirby Dick, delivers a searing indictment of the hypocrisy of closeted politicians who actively campaign against the LGBT community to which they overtly belong. Outrage is heralded as a revealing look at the hidden lives of some of the nation’s most powerful policymakers, while detailing the harm they’ve inflicted on millions of Americans. The film also examines the media’s complicity in keeping their secret.
Additional screenings of Outrage will be held at the Studio @ 620 at 620 First Street S. in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit the community radio station.
