Tebow to appear in Focus on the Family ad

Tim Tebow has never made his Christianity a secret. The University of Florida quarterback consistently wears references to Bible verses on his eye black and frequently discusses his belief in Jesus Christ.

Now, the Heisman winner is addressing a national audience in an ad planned to air during the Super Bowl Feb. 7. The ad is funded by the Focus on the Family group, which has consistently battled equality rights for LGBTs around the country, and reportedly contains an anti-abortion message.

Tebow has never publicly discussed his stance on homosexuality and has gained legions of gay male fans thanks to his handsome looks and a shirtless photo spread for GQ photo spread last fall.

Tebow appears in the ad with his mother, Pam, The pregnant Pam Tebow contracted amoebic dysentery while on a Philippines mission and was in a coma. After recovering, doctors said the damage to her body was too great and suggested the abortion.

Tebow was born healthy on Aug. 14, 1987.

One Orlando has denounced Tebow’s decision.
