Justin Trudeau became the first sitting Canadian prime minister to march in the Toronto Pride parade on July 3.
Trudeau walked the colorful parade route of Canada’s largest Pride celebration dressed casually in a salmon-color button down and white pants waving the Canadian flag with a rainbow border.

The swarm of rainbow covered floats came to a halt for one minute of silence to honor the 49 victims of the Pulse shooting.
“We can’t let hate go by,” Trudeau said just before the parade kicked off. “We have to speak up anytime there is intolerance or discrimination.”
