Sean Hayes kicks off ‘Ellen’ guest host gig with dance number

Sean Hayes got the show started on the right foot with a dance number to kick off his guest hosting duties on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday.

Hayes began the show with a monologue listing the reasons DeGeneres wasn’t able to appear on the show. His list included that DeGeneres was at Home Depot “where all the lesbians go” down to she was getting “a boob job. And she’s going for the big one, so next time she’s here, watch out front row.”

The “Will & Grace” star then launches into a dance routine to “No Excuses” by Meghan Trainor. Hayes dances through the audience and is joined by backup dancers hidden throughout the crowd.

At the end, Hayes’ back up dancers lead him to DeGeneres’ hosting chair to close out the number.
