The Emmy-winning reality television series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is expanding its franchise with an upcoming docuseries centered around the “RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!” performance series.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue” chronicles the journey of six drag queens who have previously appeared on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” as they prepare to launch “RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!,” a production at the hotel and casino Flamingo Las Vegas that features performances from previous contestants of the series.

The six featured queens include Asia O’ Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls, Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 11 winner Yvie Oddly.

The show will “give fans a deeper look into the lives of their favorite queens as they showcase the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent it takes to pull off groundbreaking performances in front of a live audience,” according to a report from entertainment news outlet The Loop.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!” debuted at the beginning of this year but was brought to a halt as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The production is set to resume in January 2021.

Fans of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” appear to be excited about having more Drag Race-related content in their lives.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue” premieres Aug. 21 on VH1. An extended first look of the series is expected to air during the season finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5” on July 24.
