Netflix announced on its Twitter March 23 that it is working on a holiday romantic comedy centered on gay men. The tweet featured photos of the film’s three male leads — Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers and Luke MacFarlane all holding their copy of the script.
Directed by Michael Mayer, the Tony Award-winning director of “Spring Awakening,” “Single All The Way” is a “holiday rom-com about Peter (Urie), a perpetually single man whose best friend (Chambers) poses as his boyfriend just as his mom sets him up on an incredible blind date with her handsome trainer (MacFarlane).

The film also stars Barry Bostwick, Jennifer Robertson, Jennifer Coolidge and Kathy Najimy.
While no release date has been announced, “Single All the Way” will be a part of Netflix’s 2021 holiday lineup which includes “A Castle for Christmas,” “The Princess Switch 3” and “A Boy Called Christmas.”
