“RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum and Orlando drag icon Ginger Minj will appear in the upcoming Disney+ film “Hocus Pocus 2,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

“Sources close to the production confirmed to EW that the All Stars 6 finalist filmed a scene for the Disney+ sequel in Rhode Island in November 2021 that sees three queens portraying impersonations of the Sanderson Sisters at a drag show — including Ginger as Bette Midler’s Winifred Sanderson. Later, the real Sanderson Sisters (Midler’s Winifred, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah, and Kathy Najimy as Mary) show up to the performance, and spectacular things ensue,” EW wrote.

A video posted to the Instagram account @hocuspocusguide on March 4 shows Minj, in full Winifred drag, on the “Hocus Pocus 2” set. According to EW, Disney has no comment on Minj’s involvement with the film.

EW later confirmed that “Drag Race” queens Kahmora Hall and Kornbeard “The Snack” Jeté will play the drag versions of the witches Sarah and Mary, respectively.

Disney announced a sequel to the popular 1993 Halloween flick — which stars Midler, Parker and Najimy as sister witches resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts after a 300-year-old curse — in 2019, stating it would be released on its streaming service Disney+. The sequel will see Midler, Parker and Najimy reprising their roles as the Sanderson Sisters and will also star Doug Jones, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham and Belissa Escobedo.

Producer Adam Shankman announced Jan. 27 that the film would be released during the Halloween season 2022.
