ORLANDO | Florida Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith has release a new campaign video as he prepares for re-election to the state House of Representatives, this time in District 37.
Guillermo Smith has been the state representative for District 49 for the last six years.
The newly drawn District 37 includes parts of both Orange and Seminole Counties, including East Orlando, UCF, Oviedo, Chuluota and part of Winter Springs as well as the Little Big Econ State Forest and other unincorporated areas of Seminole County.
In his campaign video, Guillermo Smith highlights his achievements since being elected in 2016, including helping to secure million of dollars in small business grants for the state during the pandemic, fighting to reduce the cost of living and protect Florida’s environment, and helping to fund programs for veterans, first responders and mass shotting survivors.

“When the freedoms and civil rights of all Floridians are under attack, I’ll be right there fighting alongside them, putting people over politics, demanding corporations pay what they owe and creating an inclusive state that my husband Jerick and I are proud to call home,” Guillermo Smith says in the video.
Guillermo Smith will hold his re-election campaign kickoff tonight at the Oviedo Amphitheater and Cultural Center, starting at 7 p.m.
