ORLANDO | onePULSE Foundation is preparing for its Pulse Remembrance with a week of activities ahead of the tragedy’s seven-year mark June 12.
The Seven-Year Pulse Remembrance Week starts June 3 with its annual 4.9 K Rainbow Run and will conclude on June 12 with the Annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Here is a breakdown of the events.
Saturday, June 3
6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m: Community Rainbow Run Blood Drive with OneBlood will be at Wadeview Park with the Big Red Bus. All donors will receive a $20 eGiftcard, Oneblood Limited Edition PULSE T-Shirt, and wellness check! Donors can make an appointment by going here.
8 a.m.: 7th Annual 4.9K CommUNITY Rainbow Run Presented by Orlando Health & Hard Rock International will also be held at Wadeview Park and the PNC Bank Virtual Run from anywhere in the world. Visit CommUNITYRainbowRun,com for more information.
12-3 p.m.: The Rose Dynasty Foundation Big Love Bake Sale will be at the Art/ifact Studio in Lakeland, Florida. This local nonprofit mentors LGBTQ+ youth and youth on the autism spectrum. The event will host over 15 local bakers and makers for fun and more. There will also be lives performances from Rose Dynasty and friends as well as raffles. This is a Family Friendly event. Thursday, June 8
6 p.m.: Legacy Work will be held over Zoom for staff members of organizations that support survivors and community members affected by the Pulse tragedy. The main purpose is to take the time to acknowledge the impact of the tragedy as well as to identify all the work that has been done to support the survivors and community. 8-10 p.m.: Weekly Momma and Friends Charity Bingo will be at Quintessence in Lakeland, Florida, hosted by Lux and benefit CampOut. For more information, go to RoseDynasty.org.
Saturday, June 10

10 a.m.-5 p.m.: The Orange County Regional History Center will host the Pulse memorial crosses from Saturday, June 10, through Monday, June 12. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Monday, and 12-5 p.m. on Sunday. More information can be found at TheHistoryCenter.org.
6-10 p.m.: 2023 Zebra Youth Pride Prom: Old Hollywood will be at the Orlando Museum of Art. The theme is “Old Hollywood, The Golden Age” and open to ages 14-20. Dress code is semi-formal and youth under the age of 18 are required to submit a parental consent form. Learn more at ZebraYouth.org.

Sunday, June 11
12 p.m.: Dru Project Annual Scholarship Award Event held at The Hammered Lamb will be a drag brunch to announce this year’s scholarship award recipients as well as raise funds to support next year’s awards and the Gay Straight Alliance club grant program. For more details, go to TheDruProject.org.

Monday, June 12
10 a.m.-8 p.m.: Remembrance Day Memorial Blood Drive with OneBlood will be the Big Red Bus parked in front of First United Methodist Church on S. Magnolia Ave. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card, OneBlood limited edition PULSE T-Shirt, and wellness check.
4 p.m.: 49 Bells at First UMC Orlando will hold the annual 49 Bells Ceremony in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church of Orlando.
5 p.m.: Inspiration Orlando United Mural will be on display at the Orlando Museum of Art. It will be on display in the rotunda of the Orlando Museum of Art from Tuesday, June 13, through Friday, June 16. The mural can seen during regular hours and was created by Michael Pilato, Yuriy Karabash and Chimene Hurst. More information at OMArt.org.
7-8 p.m.: Seven-Year Pulse Remembrance Ceremony will be in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. The ceremony can also be viewed on the onePULSE Foundation Facebook page live during the event. Ticket information to attend the event will be available at DrPhillipsCenter.org starting on May 30 at 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, June 13, you can join the Community Care Rooms from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.
Sunday, June 18, at 12 p.m. will see the New Moon Yoga teach community members restorative yoga practices as a way to channel intentions seven years after the Pulse tragedy.
Rounding out the month on Friday, June 30, at 6 p.m. will have the Ni Uno Mas Community Conversations with QLatinx and with the support of Moms Demand Action which will host a community conversation about the local impact of gun violence in the community.
