Florida will be well represented at this year's Gay World Series. Six teams from Orlando and five Tampa teams are on their way to the North American Amateur Athletic Alliance World Series, which begins Monday, Aug. 29, with opening ceremonies at the city's historic Navy Pier.
Games begin on Tuesday, Aug. 30 with championship games slated for Saturday, Sept. 3.

Orlando teams traveling to the 35th Annual World Series in Chicago include the A-division Force, B-division Broadway Crush, C-Division Shock and Parliament House Storm, and D-Division teams Mr. Sisters Arch Angles and Wild Stallions.
Tampa will be represented by the C-Division Crocs and Hammerheads, D-Division Inferno and Panthers and the Hamburger Mary's Masters.
As with most NAGAAA tournaments, well-known entertainment acts and personalities will be on hand for the opening and closing ceremonies. As of press time, actor and comedian Leslie Jordan was on-board to speak as well as straight Britain rugby star and heartthrob Ben Cohen.

Other Florida teams participating in the series are Fort Lauderdale's B-Division Sidelines Eagles, C-Division's Sidelines Cyclones and Bill's Blue Crush, and D-Division's Matty's Marauders and Rosie's Renegades.
