ORLANDO | While the current pandemic nixed the traditional parade and festival at Lake Eola, that didn’t stop the community from showing up for Come Out With Pride’s Pride in the Streets vehicle processional Oct. 10.
More than a hundred vehicles — from convertibles and pick-ups to buses and RVs — were decked out in flags, banners and rainbows to show community support and Pride spirit as they lined up at the world famous Parliament House.
The processional, led by Come Out With Pride’s board and grand marshal’s Cha Cha Davis, John Nemcheck and Chantel Reshae, travelled around Orlando passing by the city’s most popular LGBTQ locations including Savoy, The Center, Zebra Coaliton, Southern Nights, the Pulse Memorial, Stonewall Bar, Hamburger Mary’s, the future home of Haos on Church, the Walt Disney World Amphitheatre at Lake Eola and more.
